Polly and Barb

Our final hour- we did it! What Fun!

SAF: Color Blocking

We tried Andy Warhol's color blocking with his famous soup cans. The sentiment fit perfectly and is from Rainbow Greetings by MFT.

SAF: Watercolor like a Master

We used Mums the Word for this project. I love to watercolor this way as it's much easier and I liked Kay's idea of using two colors on the flowers. I would definitely try this again.

SAF: Pointillism Play

Heather showed us how to create an image only using dots- many, many dots! It works best on a stamp with lots of space. I used the new awning frame, Graceful Greetings and Thr Skinny for the sentiments. The stamp is Year of the Flower - Violets.

SAF: Mastering Drips and Splatters:

Lizzie taught us various ways to apply Drips and Splatters the Jackson Pollack way. It makes for an interesting background for sure.

SAF: Masterpiece Inspiration With The Team:

I chose Melissa's Warren Kimble as my inspiration as I used to be a rep and sold a lot of his art work in calendars. The simplicity of his work to go along with the Primitive decor was very eye appealing to me. These are also some of my favorite colors. The new pineapple was so perfect for this.

SAF: Floral Impressionism

Melissa taught us a whole new way of inking and embossing lots of layers to look impressionistic. I always love her many layers and thought process. I pretty much stuck to the book on this one.

SAF Gilded in Gold 10:00 challenge

Danielle's challenge was what I was waiting for as I always wanted to use the liquid leaf. It was a piece of cake! I love how fast it dries. I will definitely use it again. Thanks Danielle!

SAF 8AM Starry Night

I used the technique Amy suggested using color blending then water color paints. I used the new Inspired  Prayer sentiments.

SAF  Challenge one:

This AM challenge was to use one of the Masterpiece color combos. I chose Date in the Park. I wouldn't probably have picked those colors but I do like the finished product. That's what I love about Stamp-A-Faire - it makes you stretch your horizons.

Friday night SAF - 1st card most proud

I love MacKenzie Childs and try to incorporate some checks in my cards. I used  the checks from On the Farm a stamp set called Topiary Trio both from PTI.. The sentiment is also from Topiary Trio. .

Blog Hop: July 2016

I used Bloomers from PTI for the flowers and Leave It Be for the leaves. I needed smaller centers so I used the tiny star like dots from Birthday Cheer. I also used the stencil from PTI called Modern Background. The white background die is from Tag Sale Quilted.  It's pretty combo.
The Hello cut from gold paper is from Eliz. Craft Designs.

Heat Wave Embossing Class:

I used a grid stencil from Simon Says and Spring Rain ink from PTI. The stamp is Peonies on Parade and the Sentiment is from Don't Forget to Write both from Papertrey Ink. I copic colored the peonies then clear embossed them as well as the leaves. I cut two "Sendings" to stabilize it and then used Jennifers trick to emboss the word by sticking it to some paper tape on a card. It worked great.
I've learned lots of tricks so far, keep out the good work.
