I love to cross stitch and when I found a die to give the holes needed I went to  town...I was limited on space but seemed to find simple cross stitch patterns and drew a few of my own.  The next challenge was to find dies to cut to fit them to fit on a card...between PTI and Spellbinders I found circles and tags to cover up the borders...Now I have to choose the recipient!

Make it Monday: Mixing Florals

Dawn's challenge was to mix florals from different stamp sets. I chose  Sunflower Harvest, Color Pop Autumn, and Grans Garden. The sentiment is from Banner Sentiments which I curved to fit the oval and the stencil is from the Garden Gate Kit. I often mix florals but it does take a little longer putting things away - LOL.

Anniversary 9: Pottery

This Anniversary is Pottery using Paperclay which I never heard of but was an easy and different medium. I used the 2 hearts from Choose Joy and the Limitless Layers Heart. The sentiment is Handwritten Sentiments from Simon Says.

Anniversary 8: Bronze

Anniversary 8 : Bronze2. I used Tropic and Leave it be Leaves which I stamped in ripe avacado on ripe avacado and smeared perfect pearls in gold. I then I had a bright idea of clear embossing them- as you can see they are too dark but were used anyway. I used the Thanks from a big Basics Cutouts.

Anniversary 8: Bronze

Anniversary 8: Bronze. Well I must not have many Bronze things in my stash so I used Bronze paper for my strips and sentiment. The Hello is from Ways to say Hello.

Anniversary 7: Wool

For the 7 th Anniversary I chose the Friendship Jar of cookies. I stamped a few cookies on the pink felt and added them at the bottom

Anniversary 7: Wool

For the 7 th Anniversary- Wool we used felt. I did not dig out my machine so I tried to hand sew but that failed also so I went back to glue! I used the same dies and stamps as Heather.  Cute idea though.

Anniversary: 6 Iron

So I had no luck mixing water with the embossing paste so I did  my best to make the frame look old.
I used the Charmed Frame and the Sunflower Harvest.

Anniversary 5 : Wood 2

This is Anniversary 5:Wood and I love Leaf Prints so this was an east one. I like smearing the ink on the cover plate as it made it very rich looking. Fun project.

Anniversary 5:Wood
The 5th Anniversary is wood so I chose Phrase Play #6 cut from chocolate cardstock and wood. I inlaid the wood words. The background is the new Sunflower Harvest. I used the XOXO from MFT.

Anniversary 4: Linen2
The Anniversary 4 -2 is also printing on Linen and make a card or tag. I chose the Noted scalloped square for a small card and the Simply Stitched sentiment and die. The roses are from The Sweet Life. I was surprised ar how realistic the roses turned out on the linen.

Anniversary 4: Linen

Linen is the 4th Anniversary so I chose the new Sunflower Harvest to decorate my linen fabric square corner. This was a fun and easy project so I may have time for Lunch!! Cute idea Amy.

Anniversary : Leather2

For The Anniversary 3 my second card was adding multiple layers of tissue paper over a cover plate or die.  I used Ivy and Bloom and the sentiment from Ways to Say Birthday. I think I might try less tissue next time for more definition. I like the look though for a masculine card.

Anniversary 3: Leather

P
For Anniversary 3 the theme is Leather and this was a real joy to do. I think it's my favorite technique so far as it really looks like Leather and I'm always looking for good male looking cards. I used the sentiment from Stylish Sentiments and the Mix and Mat Postal and  Mix and Mat Pinked dies.

The 2nd Anniversary: Cotton

Using cotton was a real challenge as I'm not sure it would mail very well but I chose clouds for my cotton balls setting a scene with The Life Is Beautiful die and the tree from Mighty Oak.

1st Anniversary : Paper

The idea was to use up your scraps which was easy Peary!  I used the mighty oak cover plate and Fall colors to make this Thank You card

Challenge one: Paper

The idea was to make embellishments for a card or gift. I made a bow from strips of paper and cut confetti in the little bag. Since it was festive I chose balloons but my dieting didn't t turn out so I shaded them  with an ink blending tool. I also could not find the tassel caps so used regular tassels. There were some interesting ideas in this challenge.

Today's challenge was from 2008 which is when I first discovered PTI and then my life changed. Oh how I loved their stamps as they were fresh and clean and some even had dies with them. I chose the Bitty Baby Blessings and it is still as cute today as it was then.

Saturday, February 11, 2017

The PTI Challenge was to be inspired with one of  the 2007 designs. I chose Kim's card.

I used the Mat Stack 3 and Layerz but used the recent Gathered Garden flowers.. I stenciled the front with a scalloped stencil.

Friday, February 10, 2017

PTI has challenged us to pick one card we are proud of from Past stamp sets. Well that is a chore as I just love all of their stamps and have created right along with them for the past 8 years... I chose this one because I loved the extra  trinkets as it was fun picking them out and it was nostalgic. It's called "Hanging by a Thread"

Make it Monday Stamped Dangles:
Amy showed some really cute dangles so I went through my stash and found the above. I used Friends from Wonderful Words Friends and the forever was from Taylored Expressions Pockets and Pages. I drew dash lines around the outside using  my Prismacolor pens. It was fun hunting down the dangles too.
